AdBlue Handling & Storage

The shelf life of AdBlue® is directly influenced by the storage temperature. To maintain an optimal shelf life of up to two years, it is recommended to store AdBlue® at temperatures between -11°C and 32°C. If AdBlue® freezes, its effectiveness remains unchanged upon thawing.

To ensure the purity of AdBlue® and protect the SCR Catalyst System, it is crucial to use appropriate materials for all items that come into contact with the AdBlue® solution. The ISO 22241-1 standards provide guidelines on recommended and non-recommended materials for contact with AdBlue®.

Do’s & Don’ts for Proper Use of AdBlue®

  • Do keep AdBlue® dispensing equipment clean and free from dust or dirt.
